Rube Golberg Project
Our Rube Goldberg project starts with A wooden block attached to a string being swung and hitting a light switch. The next step in the process is the light switch once activated is wired to a dc motor which activates once the light switch is pushed. The dc motor winds up a string which pulls up a titer tater. The tighter tater hits a mini switch which is wired to a winch. The winch pulls up a string attached to a pipe with weights on it out of a cart, releasing the cart to go down a ramp into a plastic red cup. The cup falling from the weight from, the cart pulls a pulley which pulls another pulley. The final pulley pulls the trigger of a remote control. The remote control activates another motor which winds up another string attached to a wooden block. The wooden block once pulled releases a metal weight which theme goes down a ramp hitting the launch button of a rocket that is wired to the rocket and then launches it.
1. Our project was kept in good production as we went through the whole process. I was very productive in my group and so was the rest of my group.
2. I believe that our rube included alot of kinetic energy throughout the process of each step.
This project was about testing the affects of snow melt on brass weights, and testing the speed and how deep the the brass weights sank down in a certain time. All the certain shaped brass weights where 200 grams.
