Socialization and Mask Project
Description: Mask and Essay
Throughout the mask process I learned many new things about the cycle of socialization and how it has affected me. This project was about how the cycle of socialization has affected us truly, ad the mask that we made represents that. On the mask we were to put the aspects on how we have been affected and what ever way we want to present that to our audience and to ourselves. I throughout this showed the darker side of how it has affected me compared to another side that was more lighter to the topic. These two sides where what socialization has taught me through school, friends, and basicly public occurrences. The other side of my mask which is white a is what I have been taught through my family and loved ones. The two sides are mixing together and it shows them affecting each other.

My Mask: Blended
When I first started the Socialization essay project I did not think of it as that important to do or take interest in, but when I started to see how important the cycle was I started taking the time to learn and engage in it. This essay was about how exactly I saw the cycle of socialization in my eyes and how it exactly affected me throughout my current life. I called this essay Never Ending War With Society because when you are in the cycle of socialization you are always battling for acceptance, and to be approved by family, peers and who ever else you want to look good to. I connected to this essay because of how I opened up to realize how I was living the cycle every day.

Reflection
Throughout this project I grew as a writer by learning better techniques, I learned how to word my phrases and statements better by researching and getting help with my work, my essay with revise ment ideas from sara is an example of getting feedback to help me improve. A big impact that has happened with me is that I have learned more about how others peoples lives are being played , compared to mine or others. I have also learned about customs and stereotypes of different genders, religions, sexual orientation, and race. The cycle of socialization has impacted me because I’ve realized that I, and others are being runned by it, and taught by it. The exhibition has been a useful way for me to connect to the cycle by acting as a part of it. As a group worker throughout the exhibition prep and exhibition I wanted to be presented as a person to be working with others and getting my parts done with the best of my ability. I wanted to be a leader in my group and help guide throughout the whole process. I believe that I was represented in my group as a leader and good collaborator throughout the exhibition prep process. In conclusion I would like to say that this project has not only made me grow as a writer, but also make me grow as a person learning about the world around me.
